Agglomeration Economics

Mathew Kahn recommends a new book from the NBER on the economics of agglomeration, especially his own paper (NBER). The articles are currently free online, so check them out before they're gone. Ed Glaeser is the editor. The paper by Rosenthal and Strange looks especially promising, although I haven't read it yet.

On Innovation

Malcolm Gladwell's latest New Yorker column covers the idea of simultaneous discovery, among other topics. Oddly enough this idea has been getting lots of press around the web.
